SPOILERS WARNING
THE STORY
After the death of his daughter, Jovian, an old member of Hexagon City’s superpowered crime-fighting team, The Heroes of Hex, steals the team’s superpowers. He threatens to destroy the city with toxic waste. The city is counting on you to regain each hero’s superpowers, locate Jovian, and stop him from enacting his evil plan.
DOCUMENTS AND ITEMS
*Activities in this game require a player to be the lead for each activity. Teams may pick any teammate to be the lead for any activity. They are not locked into their roles based on what envelopes they open. Exception: if someone sees Feedback’s activity, they are locked into leading that activity. These instructions and warnings are on game items.
The Contact Letter
This letter explains what your goal is as a team. The Chief of Police asks you to defeat your new villain, Jovian, before he destroys the town. To do so, you must regain your powers using the letters addressed to each member of your team.
Trading Cards
These cards provide backstory on each original member of The Heroes of Hex: Captain Azure, Feedbak, Psycho, The Grim Stalker, and Jovian.
Team Photo
This photo provides dates that are helpful when regaining Captain Azure’s powers.
Newspaper Clipping
The clipping explains why your old team member has turned evil. It also provides dates that are helpful when regaining both Captain Azure and Psycho’s powers.
Fan Mail
This fan mail is addressed to Captain Azure. It provides dates that are helpful when regaining Captain Azure’s powers.
Captain Azure’s Envelope
Comic Strips: When placed in the correct chronological order, Captain Azure will regain his powers and the strips will provide a three-digit number needed to regain the powers of Psycho and enter the tin box.
Feedbak’s Envelope
Speech Bubbles: One player will see three phrases and play charades (no talking/noises) to have teammates guess the exact saying. Once this task is complete, Feedbak will regain her powers and the speech bubbles will provide a three-digit number needed to regain the powers of Psycho and enter the tin box.
Psycho’s Villain Envelope
Logic Puzzle: Using 3 three digit numbers found elsewhere in the game and placed in the correct order, teams will follow the logic rules given. Once solved, Psycho will regain powers, and it’ll provide the code to enter the tin box.
The Grim Stalker’s Envelope
Jigsaw Puzzle/Town Map: Whoever leads this activity will place the blindfold on and is the only person allowed to touch the puzzle pieces. Teammates will help by instructing how to put the puzzle together. When pieced together, The Grim Stalker will regain powers, and the puzzle reveals a town map to be used in tandem with the shapeshift puzzle to locate Jovian.
Once all puzzle pieces are placed correctly, the team can smooth out the puzzle to read the map.
Hero’s Envelope
Shapeshift Puzzle: When pieced together, Hero will regain powers, and the puzzle reveals an image to be used in tandem with the town map to locate Jovian.
Masks
These masks can help players get into character! They do not contain critical clues.

The Grim Stalker’s envelope instructs your team to use this when solving the jigsaw puzzle/town map.
Tin Box
Solve Psycho’s logic puzzle to find the code. Once opened, this box reveals the toxic waste neutralizer instructions.
Toxic Waste Neutralizer Instructions
This provides instructions on how to build the toxic waste neutralizer that will prevent Jovian’s destruction of the city.
Toxic Waste Container
Solve Hero and The Grim Stalker’s puzzles in tandem to reveal Jovian’s location. Use the address of his location from the map to open the lock and reveal the toxic waste.
Toxic Waste (marbles)
The impending doom. Build the toxic waste neutralizer and move the waste through it to the toxic waste container to save the city and win!
Toxic Waste Neutralizer Pieces
These pieces are found in the toxic waste neutralizer envelopes, which the heroes are instructed to open each time one regains their powers. There are 5 pieces. Once put together based on the instructions, this container will stop the threat to the city.
SOLUTIONS
Captain Azure
The comic strips have page numbers in the bottom corners. Other items in the box help you determine that the birthday party for Orchid came first, in January, followed by the cat rescue, in Feburary, and then Jovian’s departure, in May. The page numbers, when arranged in this order, read: 298.
Feedback
Feedbak’s speech bubbles are numbered. The first phrase has five syllables. The second phrase has eight syllables. The third phrase has two syllables. This reveals the three-digit number: 582
Tin Box Combo Lock
Using the numbers from Captain Azure’s puzzle, Feedbak’s puzzle, and the newspaper clipping for Jovian’s daughter’s death day (298, 582, 521 respectively), you can solve the logic puzzle to find the correct code to the lock to be: 912
Logic solution below. Click here for a full page.
Hero
Hero’s shapeshift puzzle is in the shape of a hexagon and reveals an image of a water tower. The water tower is on the map at point O to find the corresponding location.
The Grim Stalker
The Grim Stalker’s town map puzzle reveals the address for the water tower at point O. The address is 511 Memorial Road.
Toxic Waste Container Combo Lock
Using the location of the water tower as Jovian’s location for the lock, you get the code: 511.
TO WIN: place all the toxic waste (marbles) in the built neutralizer and move the marbles through it into the neutralizer container.
